Make Parties Fun Again ("MPFA", "we", "us") is a Canadian event company. This policy covers data collected through makepartiesfunagain.com and related services.

Location (automatic)

• Your approximate city via IP address (using ipapi.co)
• If you allow it, browser geolocation for more accurate city detection (via OpenStreetMap)
• We use this to show you nearby events — that's it

Analytics (automatic)

• Pages visited, scroll depth, clicks, search queries
• Screen size, browser type, session ID (random, not tied to your identity)
• UTM campaign parameters (how you found us)
• Stored in session storage — cleared when you close your browser

Venue inquiry form

• Your name, email, venue name, city, capacity, venue type, timeline, and optional notes

DJ application

• Name, stage name, email, phone (optional), city, Instagram, TikTok
• Experience, genres, equipment, portfolio links, uploaded mix files
• Availability and cities

Content submissions

• Name, Instagram handle, uploaded photos/videos
• Payment method (e-Transfer or PayPal) and payment email

• Location: Show you events near your city
• Analytics: Understand which events and pages are popular so we can improve
• Venue inquiries: Follow up about hosting events at your venue
• DJ applications: Review your application and contact you about opportunities
• Content submissions: Review your content for our social media, and pay you if we use it
• Emails: Send event updates, content submission reminders, and FOMO alerts (you can unsubscribe anytime)

We use a few external services:

• ipapi.co — IP-based city detection (their privacy policy)
• OpenStreetMap / Nominatim — Reverse geocoding for city detection (their privacy policy)
• Eventbrite — Ticket sales and event listings (when you click through to buy tickets, Eventbrite's privacy policy applies)

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with advertisers or data brokers. Ever.

We don't use tracking cookies. We use session storage (temporary, browser-side) for:

• Your detected city (so we don't re-detect every page)
• A random session ID for analytics (not tied to your identity)
• UTM parameters and landing page info

All session storage is automatically cleared when you close your browser tab.

• Analytics: Aggregated, anonymized, kept indefinitely
• Form submissions (venue, DJ, content): Kept as long as needed for the business relationship
• Uploaded content: Kept if we purchase rights; deleted if we don't use it within 90 days

You can:

• Access — Ask what data we have about you
• Delete — Ask us to delete your data
• Correct — Ask us to fix incorrect info
• Opt out — Unsubscribe from emails anytime, or disable location in your browser settings

When you submit photos or videos:

• You retain all rights until we send payment
• If we post your content and pay you ($5/video, $2/photo), full rights transfer to MPFA
• If we don't use or pay for your content, you keep all rights

We use HTTPS encryption on all pages. We don't store passwords or credit card numbers. Payment is handled externally via e-Transfer or PayPal — we only store your payment email.

Our events are typically 18+ or 19+ depending on the venue. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you're a parent and believe your child submitted data, contact us and we'll delete it.

If we make significant changes, we'll update the date at the top. We won't email you about policy changes unless they materially affect how we use your data.
