Make Parties Fun Again ("MPFA", "we", "us") is a Canadian event company. This policy covers data collected through makepartiesfunagain.com and related services.

Approximate location (automatic)

• Your browser timezone may be used to suggest a nearby Canadian city
• We may ask ipapi.co for an approximate city based on your network address
• We do not request your device's precise GPS location
• We use the result to show nearby events and keep it in temporary session storage

Analytics (automatic)

• Pages visited, scroll depth, event clicks, and search queries entered on this site
• Screen size, referring domain, and a random session ID not tied to an account
• Your source IP address is converted to a one-way pseudonymous visitor key before storage; the source IP and full browser user-agent are not stored in analytics
• UTM campaign parameters (how you found us)
• Browser-side session values are cleared when you close the tab or browser session

Email and event-update records

• Email address and, when available, your name, phone number, city, record source, and subscription status
• Delivery, bounce, complaint, and unsubscribe status used to deliver requested messages, honor suppression choices, and prevent unwanted future sends

Venue inquiry form

• Your name, email, venue name, city, capacity, venue type, timeline, and optional notes

DJ application

• Name, stage name, email, phone (optional), city, Instagram, TikTok
• Experience, genres, equipment, portfolio links, uploaded mix files
• Availability and cities

Content submissions

• Name, Instagram handle, uploaded photos/videos
• Payment method (e-Transfer or PayPal) and payment email

Form and upload security

• Source IP addresses may be processed or logged with form submissions and uploads to prevent abuse, investigate failures, and protect the service

• Location: Show you events near your city
• Analytics: Understand which events and pages are popular so we can improve
• Venue inquiries: Follow up about hosting events at your venue
• DJ applications: Review your application and contact you about opportunities
• Content submissions: Review your content for our social media, and pay you if we use it
• Emails: Send event updates, content submission reminders, and FOMO alerts (you can unsubscribe anytime)

We use a few external services:

• ipapi.co — Approximate IP-based city detection (their privacy policy)
• Eventbrite — Ticket sales and event listings (when you click through to buy tickets, Eventbrite's privacy policy applies)
• Urba — Event and attendee records may be synchronized when MPFA events or ticketing are managed through Urba
• Resend — Delivery of event updates and other emails you requested, consented to receive, or that we are otherwise permitted to send

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with advertisers or data brokers. Ever.

We don't use tracking cookies. We use session storage (temporary, browser-side) for:

• Your detected city (so we don't re-detect every page)
• A random session ID for analytics (not tied to your identity)
• UTM parameters and landing page info

All session storage is automatically cleared when you close your browser tab.

• Raw analytics: Pseudonymized and kept for up to 180 days
• Aggregated analytics: Daily totals that do not contain source IP addresses may be kept longer
• Email subscriber records: Kept while a subscription or permitted messaging relationship remains active; unsubscribe, bounce, and complaint suppression records may be retained as needed to honor opt-outs and prevent future sends
• Form submissions (venue, DJ, content): Kept as long as needed for the business relationship
• Uploaded content: Kept if we purchase rights; deleted if we don't use it within 90 days

You can:

• Access — Ask what data we have about you
• Delete — Ask us to delete your data
• Correct — Ask us to fix incorrect info
• Opt out — Unsubscribe from marketing emails anytime and ask us to remove analytics or form data associated with information you provided

When you submit photos or videos:

• You retain all rights until we send payment
• If we post your content and pay you ($5/video, $2/photo), full rights transfer to MPFA
• If we don't use or pay for your content, you keep all rights
• See the full Content License Agreement on the submission page

We use HTTPS encryption on all pages. We don't store passwords or credit card numbers. Payment is handled externally via e-Transfer or PayPal — we only store your payment email.

Our events are typically 18+ or 19+ depending on the venue. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you're a parent and believe your child submitted data, contact us and we'll delete it.

If we make significant changes, we'll update the date at the top. We won't email you about policy changes unless they materially affect how we use your data.
