1. Agreement to Terms

By using makepartiesfunagain.com ("the Site"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site. We may update these terms โ€” continued use after changes means you accept them.

2. What We Do

Make Parties Fun Again ("MPFA", "we", "us") is a Canadian event company. The Site provides:
  • Event listings and ticket links (via Eventbrite)
  • Venue inquiry forms
  • DJ application forms
  • User-generated content (UGC) submission and payment
  • Blog and past event galleries

3. Tickets & Events

  • All ticket sales are final. No refunds, no exchanges. By purchasing a ticket, you acknowledge and accept this policy.
  • Tickets are sold through Eventbrite. When you purchase a ticket, Eventbrite's terms also apply.
  • MPFA reserves the right to cancel, postpone, or modify events at any time. In the rare case that MPFA cancels an event entirely, refunds may be issued at our sole discretion through Eventbrite.
  • Event details (dates, venues, lineups, DJs) are subject to change without notice. Changes to lineup or event details do not entitle you to a refund.
  • Most events are 18+ or 19+ depending on the venue and local laws. Valid government-issued ID may be required at the door. If you are denied entry due to age requirements or venue policies, no refund will be issued.

4. Venue Inquiries

Submitting a venue inquiry form does not create a partnership, booking, or contract. It's an expression of interest. We'll follow up if there's a fit, but we're not obligated to work with every venue that reaches out.

5. DJ Applications

  • Submitting a DJ application does not guarantee a booking or employment.
  • By submitting portfolio links and mix files, you confirm you have the right to share that content.
  • We may keep your application on file for future opportunities.
  • DJ bookings, if offered, will be subject to a separate agreement.

6. Content Submissions & Payment

When you submit photos or videos through our content submission form:
  • You confirm you are the original creator of the content.
  • You confirm the content was taken at an MPFA event.
  • MPFA pays $5 per video and $2 per photo that we post or use on our social media accounts.
  • Payment is only for content we actually post/use. If we don't use your content, no payment is owed.
  • Once MPFA sends payment (via e-Transfer or PayPal), full rights to the content transfer to MPFA, including the right to edit, crop, repost, and use commercially.
  • If payment is not sent, you retain all rights to your content.
  • MPFA may decline any submission for any reason without explanation.
  • Submitted content that is not used will be deleted within 90 days.
  • Do not submit content that contains illegal activity, nudity, or content you don't have the rights to.
See the full Content License Agreement on the submission page.

7. Acceptable Use

Don't use the Site to:
  • Submit false information on any form
  • Upload content you don't own or have rights to
  • Upload malware, viruses, or harmful files
  • Scrape, crawl, or automated-access the Site without permission
  • Attempt to access admin areas or other users' data
  • Resell or scalp tickets obtained through our links
  • Impersonate MPFA or our staff
We reserve the right to block access to anyone violating these terms.

8. Intellectual Property

  • The MPFA name, logo, branding, and site design are our property.
  • Event photos and videos posted on our socials are owned by MPFA (once we've paid the creator).
  • You may not reproduce, copy, or distribute our content without written permission.
  • Event listings include data from Eventbrite and are subject to their terms.

9. Third-Party Links

The Site links to third-party services including Eventbrite, Instagram, and TikTok. We're not responsible for the content, terms, or practices of those platforms. Use them at your own discretion.

10. Emails & Communications

  • We send event-related emails when you request them, consent to receive them, or when otherwise permitted by applicable law. Providing an email for a venue inquiry, DJ application, content submission, or ticket transaction does not by itself opt you into marketing.
  • We send: event announcements, content submission reminders, and post-show follow-ups.
  • Every email includes an unsubscribe link. You can opt out anytime.
  • We don't sell your email to third parties.

11. MPFA's Role & Limitation of Liability

MPFA is an event organizer and promoter. We plan, market, and coordinate events. We do not own, operate, or manage the venues where events take place. To the fullest extent permitted by Canadian law:
  • Venue responsibility: The venue and its operators are solely responsible for the premises, security, crowd management, alcohol service, fire safety, building compliance, and all on-site operations. Any issues related to the physical venue, its staff, or its operations are the responsibility of the venue operator โ€” not MPFA.
  • Patron conduct: MPFA is not responsible or liable for the actions, behavior, or conduct of any event attendees, patrons, or other third parties at our events. You attend at your own risk and assume full responsibility for your own safety and conduct.
  • Personal injury & property: MPFA is not liable for any personal injury, property damage, theft, loss, or harm of any kind that occurs at, near, or in connection with our events โ€” whether caused by the venue, its staff, other attendees, or any other circumstances.
  • No warranties: The Site and our events are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
  • Damages cap: MPFA's total liability to you for any claim is limited to the ticket price you paid for the specific event in question.
  • Technical issues: We're not liable for service interruptions, data loss, or technical issues beyond our control.
By purchasing a ticket or attending an MPFA event, you acknowledge that MPFA acts solely as an organizer/promoter, and you release MPFA from any and all claims related to the venue, its operators, other patrons, or any incidents that occur at the event.

12. Assumption of Risk & Indemnification

By attending any MPFA event, you voluntarily assume all risks associated with attendance, including but not limited to risks of personal injury, illness, property damage, or loss.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MPFA, its founders, organizers, staff, DJs, contractors, and partners from any and all claims, demands, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from:
  • Your attendance at or conduct during MPFA events
  • Your use of the Site
  • Content you submit that infringes on someone else's rights
  • Your violation of these terms
  • Any interaction between you and other attendees, venue staff, or third parties at events
  • Any injury, damage, or loss you cause to others or their property

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Alberta, Canada.

14. Termination

We can restrict or terminate your access to the Site at any time, for any reason, without notice. Sections on liability, indemnification, intellectual property, and governing law survive termination.
